Can I get a chair massage if I'm pregnant?

Yes, with certain adaptations and by informing your massage therapist. It is advisable to wait until after the first trimester, and to get your doctor's approval.

What happens if I'm late for my appointment?

It's important to arrive a few minutes before your appointment time to avoid delays and enjoy your entire session. The time you are late will be deducted from your massage time in order to respect the schedule of subsequent participants.

Can I talk during the massage?

You can choose to speak or remain silent. Your massage therapist will follow your preference. Please express any discomfort or preference freely. On the other hand, if you're in an environment where multiple massages are taking place at the same time, we recommend being discreet and whispering if necessary.

Can I gift an in-home massage?

Absolutely! You can purchase gift certificates directly from the Kicking Lotus website. You can find our gift cards section in the menu at the bottom of the page.

Is it normal to have soreness after a massage?

Yes, it can be normal after a deep massage. By loosening knots, it can create microtrauma and inflammation, and then allow the muscle fibers to realign. Discomfort rarely lasts more than 48 hours. To relieve, use heat, a warm bath, gentle stretching and drink plenty of water. Contact us if the soreness persists.

How long should I wait before training after a massage?

It is recommended to wait 24 hours, but be aware that you will probably not be at your best yet. The response may also vary depending on the type of massage you received and your personal time to assimilate a massage. Talk to your massage therapist for personalized advice.

Can I train after a massage?

As a general rule, it is not recommended to do an intense physical workout right after a massage, as it could compromise the benefits of the massage and increase the risk of injury. Take it easy, but it's okay to go for a walk. And of course, this excludes pre-competition activation sports massages.

What are your opening hours?

Appointment times are between 8am and 10pm, but the times vary from day to day and week to week depending on the availability of the massage therapists and the type of massage you choose.

Can I choose whether my massage therapist will be a man or a woman?

What is your cancellation or refund policy?

More than 24 hours notice: No charge, refundable or creditable. Less than 24 hours notice: 100% of the booking price will be charged

What is the duration of the massage?

Your massage will be for the length of time you booked (120, 90, 60 minutes or other). The massage begins when your massage therapist places her/his hands on you.

What time will my massage therapist arrive?

Your massage therapist will be at your door at the agreed upon time of the appointment.

Can I book with the same massage therapist again?

Absolutely! You can choose the time slot that suits you best, directly in the online calendar of your favourite massage therapist.

What are your payment methods?

It is possible to pay by credit card, Interac transfer or cash. A credit card is required to confirm your reservation, but you can pay after the session.

What should I prepare for my massage therapy session?

We take care of everything, from the table to the oils and the music! You can personalise your ambiance for even more relaxation and prepare yourself by drinking lots of water.

Will I receive a receipt for my insurance?

Absolutely! You will receive your insurance receipt by email shortly after your session.

Do I need to tip the massage therapist?

A tip is always appreciated, but not required; it is at your discretion.
